WandaVision has proven itself as one of the biggest hits for Disney+ since the launch of this streaming service, and it was just a matter of time before major awards started coming its way. That moment is finally here, as the critically acclaimed Marvel series was crowned as the big winner at this year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards.
WandaVision walked away with a total of four awards at this ceremony, most notably the best show. Its stars Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn walked away with trophies for the best performance in a show and the best villain, respectively, in addition to sharing the award for the best fight.
WandaVision wasn’t the only Marvel show winning big at MTV Movie & TV Awards. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was right behind with two awards—best hero (Anthony Mackie) and best duo (Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan).
When it comes to the movie categories, To All the Boys: Always and Forever managed to beat tough competition to pick up the best movie trophy. Chadwick Boseman was posthumously awarded as the best performer in a movie for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
This year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards were held on May 16th and 17th at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, with Leslie Jones hosting the ceremony.
