The first official trailer for the BBC-Masterpiece adaptation of the classic, Les Miserables, is here.
The miniseries adaptation of the Victor Hugo novel is co-produced by Lookout Point and BBC Studios, stars Lily Collins as Fantine, Dominic West as hero Jean Valjean, David Oyelowo as Inspector Javert, and Olivia Colman as Madame Thenardier. Also starring are Ellie Bamber as Cosette, Josh O’Connor as Marius and Erin Kellyman as Eponine.
The trailer features glimpsed of all of the characters in adaptation of the beloved tale. The miniseries, based on the 1862 novel, is penned by Andrew Davies, who is best known for penning the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starring Colin Firth. While the most famous adaptation of Les Miserables is the 1985 musical, this version will be a non-musical rendition of the novel.
