Watch the First Trailer for “The Kitchen”

They run this neighborhood now. 

The first official trailer for Warner Bros’ The Kitchen debuted Thursday and we finally get to see Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss as 1970s criminals.

The Irish mob feature is helmer Andrea Berloff directorial debut. It follows McCarthy, Haddish, and Moss as three housewives turned Irish mobsters after their husbands get arrested by the FBI for their involvement with the mob.

The trailer features the ladies struggling to make ends meet But then they decide to take matters into their own hands. “They have been telling us forever that we’re never gonna do anything but have babies,” says McCarthy’s Kathy. “Just to be clear, now we run this neighborhood.”

Domhnall Gleeson, Bill Camp, Margo Martindale, Common, Brian d’Arcy James and James Badge Dale also star. 

I was excited by the idea of placing women in a position and world in which we don’t normally see them,” Berloff told Entertainment Weekly. McCarthy added: “It’s about these individuals instead of the Mafia as an entity…There was much more humanity to it, which also made it scarier.”

The Kitchen hits theaters August 8.
