A new trailer for The Goldfinch has been released and we are already reaching for the tissues.
Based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel from Donna Tartt, the upcoming movie stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Ansel Elgort and Nicole Kidman. Sarah Paulson and Ashley Cummings have also joined the all-star cast.
“In Amsterdam, I dreamt I saw my mother again,” Elgot says in the teaser. “Same beautiful, pale blue eyes. When I lost her, I lost sight of any landmark that might’ve led me someplace happier.”

A brief synopsis on IMDB reads: “Thirteen-year-old New Yorker Theo Decker’s life is turned upside down when his mother is killed in a terrorist attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and, confused, in the rubble of the tragedy, he steals a priceless piece of art known as The Goldfinch. The movie follows his life following this turn of events and the loss of his mother. “
The Goldfinch will be released September 13 in cinemas worldwide.
