Watchmen star Malin Akerman is a married woman once again after the 40-year-old actress and her boyfriend actor Jack Donnelly exchanged vows on a private ceremony on Saturday.
The wedding was held in Tulum, Mexico, and was attended by the couple’s close family and friends.
“I feel so lucky that I got to marry my best friend #JackDonnelly!!!” Akerman wrote on her Instagram profile alongside a photo from the ceremony. “Thank you to our family and friends for making this weekend so fun and magical! Many thanks also to our amazing wedding team – we couldn’t have done it without you!”
This is Malin Akerman’s second marriage. She was married to The Petalstones’ drummer Roberto Zincone from 2007 to 2014. The two share one child together, son Sebastian Zincone. Jack Donnelly hasn’t been married before.
Akerman and Donnelly reportedly started dating in early 2017, but the couple decided to keep their romance under wraps at first before going public in March of the same year. The two officially announced their engagements back in October.
After her breakthrough role as Silk Spectre II in Watchmen, Malin Akerman went on to star in several high profile movies like comedy Wanderlust and the musical film Rock of Ages. Lately, she had a prominent role in Showtime’s drama Billions.
Jack Donnelly had roles in a number of indie movies, but his most prominent work was on BBC’s fantasy adventure Atlantis, where he played the main role.
