Whoopi Goldberg, Tyler Perry Talk “Sister Act 3”

Whoopi Goldberg really wants to make another Sister Act movie!

Looks like she might be donning her habit again for her third installment of Sister Act reprising one of her most iconic role as Sister Deloris, the lounge singer-turned-nun.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 62-year-old actress is still very much interested in making Sister Act 3. The original film hit our screens in 1992 and was a huge success, garnering a cult following. It was then followed by a sequel a year later.

Whoopi Goldberg and Tyler Perry both appeared on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live this week to promote Perry’s Nobody’s Fool starring Goldberg and Tiffany Haddish. Perry, it seems, is already thinking of a joint Goldberg — Haddish sequel,  “The two of them in Sister Act, that should happen. Let’s make it happen,” he insisted.

Cohen persisted, suggesting that Perry take a more active role in the potential sequel. “Can’t you buy the rights to Sister Act?” he asked the producer. “That’s exactly what I was thinking. I was sitting here thinking, Tiffany Haddish, Whoopi in Sister Act,” Perry said. “We’ll go get ‘em!”
