Season two of Will & Grace is going romantic.
Deadline reports that David Schwimmer has been tapped to star as Grace Adler’s (Debra Messing) new love interest for next season’s arc.
The former Friends star has landed a recurring role in the upcoming second season of the Will & Grace revival which will be the comedy series’ 10th season overall.
Earlier this year, co-creator Max Mutchnick told the outlet that the first season was “about coming back and seeing how the audience was going to respond, and they embraced the show, and that was thrilling.” The second season is about “trying to open up the series” and moving forward, he continued.
This means that season two will bring with it new things, including new love interests and relationship to the still single Grace and her roommate, Will (Eric McCormack).
Rounding up guests appearances for the upcoming season are Chelsea Handler and the returning Alec Baldwin and Mary McCormack.
Will & Grace returns October 4 on NBC.
