“Young Sheldon” Renewed For Additional Two Seasons

The Big Bang Theory is going off the air this year, but that doesn’t mean that Sheldon Cooper will be leaving us anytime soon. The spin-off of the hit sitcom, Young Sheldon, has just been renewed for an dditional two seasons.

Young Sheldon follows the adventures of our favorite quirky genius as a little boy facing a unique set of challenges. Ever since it premiered in 2017, this family sitcom has been a powerful performer for CBS, so it doesn’t come as a surprise to hear they’re bringing it back.

“The Coopers are portrayed by an amazing cast, and we are looking forward to having the gifted writing staff mine even more of Sheldon’s hilarious backstory and the warm family dynamic that has made this comedy a favorite with audiences for the past two seasons,” said Thom Sherman, senior executive VP of programming at CBS.

CBS announced the news shortly after they gave a two-season renewal to Mom, another hit sitcom produced by Chuck Lorre.
