TV Land has renewed Younger for a sixth season.
The news of an additional season comes a day before season five is set to premiere on the Viacom cabler.
Younger, who stars Sutton Foster, a recently divorced 40-year-old mother who in order to support herself and get a job in publishing has a makeover in order to pass off as 26-years-old.
“Younger exemplifies romantic comedy at its best and each season the show hits new creative and rating heights,” said Kevin Kay, president of TV Land, CMT and Paramount Network, “We are honored to continue to work with the brilliant Darren Star and this amazing cast, led by the multi-talented Sutton Foster. The new season is outstanding and we are thrilled for what’s to come for these beloved characters.”
The series also stars Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar, Miriam Shor, Nico Tortorella, Peter Hermann, Molly Bernard, and Charles Michael Davis.
Season four of the fan-favorite and cornerstone series for TV Land marked the show’s highest-rated and most-watched run.
