Zoe Saldana has been tapped to topline the romantic comedy Keyhole Garden.
The Avengers: Endgame star will star in the feature which traces “the sprawling romance of a man and woman whose love for each other struggles to overcome the divisiveness of life on America’s southern border.”
The news was announced by Exchange CEO Brian O’Shea in Cannes. The film hails from Marco Perego-Saldana who also penned the original screenplay alongside Rick Rapoza.
“Working with Zoe and Marco on this project is very exciting for me. Both of them are extremely talented and passionate to bring this beautiful love story to life. They have an incredible team behind them to deliver a commercial and successful movie,” said O’Shea.
With filming is set to begin this August, Exchange is shopping the project to international buyers at the Marché du Film this week.
