Olivia Rodrigo finally dropped the long-awaited deluxe edition of Guts, and she celebrated its release in style. The music video for her latest single “Obsessed” is here, and it shows her throwing a party for the ex-girlfriends of the guy she’s in love with.
“I’m so obsessed with your ex,” sings Rodrigo in the song’s chorus, and the “Obsessed” music video perfectly captures its lyrics. She rocks a black dress and a sash that reads “Miss Right Now” to attend a ballroom party with a pretty interesting guest list.
As the video progresses, we meet a group of debutantes, wearing delicate white gowns, who all seem to have one thing in common. They are wearing sashes with such cheeky titles as “Miss Thought She Was the One,” “Miss 2 Summers Ago”, and “Miss Mom’s Favorite”, hinting they’re all exes of Rodrigo’s love interest.
“Obsessed” was initially only available on vinyl editions of Guts, before Rodrigo decided to release it as the lead single of the deluxe edition Guts (Spilled). It hit the shelves on March 22, and also features songs “Scared of My Guitar”, “Stranger”, and “Girl I’ve Always Been”.
Guts was originally released in September last year, and it scored six Grammy nominations, including album of the year and song and record of the year for its lead single “Vampire”.
