Swift teased her new album at this year’s MTV VMAs and revealed it’s set to hit the shelves on October 21. The album is available for pre-order in several formats—digital edition, vinyl, CD, and cassette—and Swift shared a vinyl cover that shows her holding a glimmering lighter.
Tracklist
Swift opted for a very interesting way to reveal the tracklist of her new album – by drawing lottery numbers on TikTok. The standard edition will include a total of 13 tracks, and the list of songs announced so far includes “Mastermind”, “Maroon”, “Anti-Hero”, “Midnight Rain”, “Questions…?”, “Vigilante S—t”, “Bejeweled”, and “Karma”.
Concept Album
Midnights is a concept album and Swift described it as “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams.” The album will tell the tales of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout her life and she dedicated it to all the people who’ve ever hoped they’ll find themselves once the clock strikes twelve.
