Blink-182 has been forced to cancel its upcoming tour dates due to Travis Barker’s ill health.
Barker is one of the band’s founding members and has been performing with Blink-182 since 1992. Recently, however, his drumming has been seriously affected by blood clots in his arms. The band was previously made to postpone their Las Vegas residency as a result of Barker’s condition.
Now, the band have been forced to cancel the following tour dates
Moorehead, Bluestem Amphitheatre (September 12)
Chicago, Riot Fest (14)
Columbus, Express Live (15)
Grand Rapids, 20 Monroe Live (17)
Windsor, The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor (18)
Uncasville, Mohegan Sun Arena (20)
Atlantic City, Hard Rock (21)
Cedar Rapids, US Cellular Center (24)
Council Bluffs, Harrah’s Council Bluffs at Stir Cove (25)
Barker apologized to fans and explained his own disappointment about the situation: “The past few months have just sucked as I have been sidelined just waiting for my doctors to clear me so I could get back on the road and perform with my band.
“Unfortunately, the risks associated with drumming are still too great. I am doing everything I need to do so I can get back on the road as soon as possible. I want to thank my fans, family, friends, and bandmates for all the love and support.”
If Barker properly rests and recovery goes smoothly, the band will perform in Las Vegas October 26.
