California Artist Honors Chester Bennington With Stunning Mural

Linkin Park fans around the world were devastated to hear of Chester Bennington’s passing. The funeral service was held over the weekend in Palos Verdes, California.

A local muralist, Jonas Never, wanted to honor Bennington’s legacy in an original way – by painting a large-scale portrait of the singer on the wall of Sherman Oaks pizzeria Rock’n Pies.

The restaurant shared the artwork on Instagram along with a caption, “We are honored to have such an amazing tribute to Chester on the wall of our building, and overwhelmed by the response from fans in the local community and all over the world.”

Never told Variety: “I’d been seeing that big blank wall from the 101 and thought it would be good for something. When I heard Chester died, I immediately thought of that wall because I knew some of the band members lived in the Valley. I just texted Jim and offered to do it for free because it was the right thing to do.”
