Chris Cornell’s Family Has Commissioned a Statue of Him to Be Placed in Seattle

According to a report by the Rolling Stone, late Chris Cornell’s family want to make a statue of the musician and erect it somewhere in Seattle. They have commissioned sculptor Wayne Toth to do the job.

Toth has previously created the statue of Johnny Ramone that stands at his grave in LA cemetery. Reportedly, Cornell’s family loved the design he showed them. The due date is in around seven months and, in the meantime, the family will look for a suitable location in Cornell’s home city.

Vicky Cornell, Chris’ widow, is hoping to get suggestions for the location from his fans: “He is Seattle’s son, and we will be bringing him home and honoring him.”
