Demi Lovato is celebrating five years fo sobriety these days! Back in 2011, the singer released Skyscraper, a tribute to the past of then-18-year-old’s “nightmare” of a life.

As she revealed in the years that followed, she spent her teen years doing things she’s not proud of – substance abuse, eating disorders, addictions, self-harm. She revealed:

“Prior to getting sober, I was one of those people who was like, I don’t give a f–k, whatever. And I used that as an excuse to do whatever I wanted.”

Today, Demi talks about those habits in past tense. It’s been five years since she’s on the road of recovery and she feels great.
