Ellen + Netflix = Awesomeness

The beloved talk show host will be getting her own stand-up special on Netflix, as she announced on Wednesday. And as it happens these days, it was first shared on Twitter.

“Looks like it’s been 15 years since you did a stand-up special, @TheEllenShow,” Netflix tweeted that day. “How about one for Netflix?”

It didn’t take her long to reply: “Let me think about it. Ok I’m in.”

Her last special was 2003’s Here and Now and it’s actually been that long, yes. It was the same year she gave voice to Dory in Finding Nemo.
