The first season of House of the Dragon set the stage for the clash between two clans of the Targaryen family, and things are finally heating up. HBO teased the June premiere of the upcoming second season by dropping the “Black” and “Green” trailer, inviting you to pick a side in the upcoming war.

House of the Dragon is set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and it chronicles the beginning of the end of the House Targaryen. They once ruled the Seven Kingdoms with an iron fist, but it all came crashing down after the death of King Viserys, which kicked off a tragic war of succession known as the “Dance of the Dragons”.

Two new trailers tease the clash between the Green and Black Council, two opposing sides of the Targaryen family fighting for the Iron Throne. The “Green” trailer sees Alicent Hightower trying to help her son King Aegon prove to the world he’s one true king. His half-sister Queen Rhaenyra plots her revenge after he stole her rightful place on the Iron Throne in the “Black” trailer.

The show’s second season will star Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. It will feature eight new episodes, set to debut on HBO on June 16.
