It’s only been two weeks since Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered on Netflix, and the streamer is betting big on its future. The live-action adaptation of the beloved anime will officially return for two more seasons, and it will end its run with Season 3.

Avatar: The Last Airbender took us to the world divided into four nations, that lived in perfect harmony while Avatar kept the peace between them. Their lives were changed forever once the Fire Nation conquered the world, after wiping out the Air Nomads.

Hope finally emerges when a young airbender Aang reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. He must join forces with his friends Sokka and Katara, and try to master the four elements in an attempt to save the world from the sinister Fire Lord Ozai.

Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, and Ian Ousley lead the cast of this series as Aang, Katara, and Sokko, while Daniel Dae Kim, Dallas Liu, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee star in supporting roles.

Avatar: The Last Airbender premiered on Netflix on February 22, and topped the streamer’s global TV chart with 154.4 million hours watched by 21.2 million viewers in its first week. It’s been renewed for two more installments and it will end with Season 3, following the same structure as the original animated series.
