Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender was a long time coming, and its release date is just around the corner. The streaming giant gave us a taste of things to come by finally dropping the first full trailer, one month before the show’s hotly-anticipated release.

Avatar: The Last Airbender will transport us to a world ruled by four elements—water, earth, fire, and air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar keeping the peace between them, but all hell broke loose when the Fire Nation wiped out the Air Nomads and conquered the world.

Things finally take a turn for the better when a young Air Nomad named Aang reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. He must join forces with his newfound friends Sokka and Katara and embark on an action-packed quest to save the world from the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai.

Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, and Ian Ousley will lead the show’s ensemble cast as the beloved trio Aang, Katara, and Sokka, and they’ll be joined by Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Elizabeth Yu, and Daniel Dae Kim in supporting roles.

The first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender will consist of eight episodes, set to hit Netflix on February 22.
