The recently engaged Prince and American actress will marry on Saturday 19th May 2018.
Kensington Palace announced the news Friday after the pair’s engagement was confirmed last month. The two will tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
No doubt after months of speculation, this much anticipated royal wedding will inject some glitz and glamour into the royal agenda of 2108.
The chosen date, however, clashes with another event, the FA Cup Final – one of the biggest English soccer matches of the year. While this doesn’t affect Prince Harry directly, it does his brother, Prince William who is the president of the English Football Association and usually attends the event.
Prince Harry and Markle have gone against tradition again as they have chosen to say their I dos on a Saturday as royal weddings usually take place on a weekday. The last royal nuptials in 2011 took place on a Friday and the Queen herself wed on a Thursday.
Fans simply can’t wait to learn more details of the whirlwind romance between the Prince of Wales and Suits star.
