The recently released Aladdin live-action remake is officially the highest-grossing movie of Smith’s career. The remake of the 1992 animated classic, overtook Independence Day the now-former title holder of the star’s biggest film ever globally.

Smith was so moved that he took the time to thank his fans in a video he shared on Instagram over the weekend.

“This is a post that I’m just humbled and honored to make right now….To be in this game as long as I’ve been in this game and to have my biggest movie at this point of my career, I just want to say thank you,” shared the 50-year-old actor before proceeding to say thank you in more than a dozen languages. “Just thank you, everybody, around the world, thank you, thank you. Who I miss?”

Aladdin has hauled more than $875 million worldwide.

According to multiple outlets, the live-action reboot of 1992’s Aladdin soars to a $107.7 million four-day Memorial Day box office. Compared with Disney’s previous Memorial Days release, especially last year’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, which was a bust, it’s fair to assume the studio is pleased with the release.

At the Thursday night box office, the Arabian tale pulled in an impressive $7 million and on Friday it earned $31 million. According to Variety, Aladdin marks the sixth-highest Memorial Day weekend debut ever, behind 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, which hauled $110.5 million.

The feature stars Will Smith as Genie and Mena Massoud as the titular character. Naomi Scott stars as Jasmine, along with Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, and Billy Magnussen. Guy Ritchie directed from a script he co-wrote alongside John August.
