Since this show gets only one episode per year, it’s a huge honor to be elected, and it’s usually reserved for people who have a sense of humor about themselves – making Alec Baldwin the perfect fit.

“Getting roasted will be the greatest honors of my lifetime besides being a father, a husband, hosting SNL 17 times, receiving Golden Globes, Emmys and working with Martin Scorsese,” said Baldwin in a statement.

The Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin still doesn’t have a premiere date and the list of roasters, but we’re really rooting for Tina Fey and Tracy Morgan to make an appearance and poke fun at their former 30 Rock co-star. One can dream, right?

Baldwin has been tapped to play a key supporting role, Thomas Wayne, the father of Bruce Wayne aka Batman. 

According to The Hollywood Reporter, additional castings include A-lister Robert De Niro and up and coming actors Marc Maron (Glow), and Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2).

Here’s the official description of the standalone feature starring Joaquin Phoenix playing the supervillian.: “Under the direction of Todd Phillips, the film centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of a man disregarded by society is not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale.”

Production on Joker will begin this fall. 

The excited parents took to social media to announced the news, sharing an adorable snap of themselves with their newborn still at the hospital, captioned with “He’s here! He’s perfect! 8lbs 2oz #wegotthis2018.”

Their son joins siblings 4-year-old Carmen Gabriela, 2-year-old Rafael Thomas, and 20 months-old Leonardo Ángel Charles. The proud parents have yet to announce the name of the newest addition to the family. 

The duo also shared their sweet homecoming on social media, taking to Instagram with an adorable family photo. The pic is of the new family of six settled in for a movie at home with the mother of four keeping a careful eye on her newborn son who was featured in the far left in his bassinet.

60-year-old Alec is also dad to 22-year-old daughter, Ireland, with Kim Basinger, whom he divorced in 2001.

Alec and Hilaria were married in June 2012. The pregnancy was first announced in November.

A gender reveal is already planned, Hilaria said on Saturday. Her plan is to announce the gender of the new baby with a “special cake.”

Just last July the couple celebrated 5 years of marriage by renewing their vows with their children including Baldwin’s 22-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his marriage to Kim Basinger.

The new brother or sister will join 4-year-old Carmen, 2-year-old Rafael and 14-months-old Leonardo.
