When Usher was initially announced as a halftime show performer, he described it as an honor of a lifetime and promised a show that would be unlike anything we’ve seen from him before. He finally kept his promise on Sunday night—and he didn’t have to do it all alone.

Super Bowl LVIII took place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year.

Alicia Keys will begin guest-hosting on December 9 and following her are Harry Styles, Melissa McCarthy, and Chance the Rapper. Ken Jeong and Jeff Goldblum are also set to host. Corden will be gone until December 18 and the full line-up has yet to be revealed.

Both McCarthy and Jeong have filled in for Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show and Styles actually previously hosted for Corden in December 2017.

Instead of creating a straight-forward music video, she wanted to make a visual sonic experience that perfectly captures the feeling of self-love, love for another, love for creating and spiritual love.

Her video features a total of three slow-motion scenes, shot in only seven seconds. Each of them reflects on different manifestations of love, with water serving as a powerful metaphor in all of the shots.

“Honestly, I think that water wanted to make its own appearance in this. It represents so many different sides. In one way it represents the struggle, in another way it represents the beauty but it never means the same thing,” explained Alicia Keys while discussing “Show Me Love” with Hypebeast.

The Grammy-nominated artist also prepared a visual installation based on this video at Dolby SoHo in New York, which can be accessed between September 18th and September 22th.

The music star will publish an intimate autobiography titled More Myself: A Journey which is described to be “part autobiography, and part narrative documentary.” The book is expected to hit shelves this fall through Oprah Winfrey’s publishing imprint. 

Keys posted a video Wednesday afternoon that confirmed the news.

“I couldn’t be more ecstatic to share this part of my journey so far and all the ways I am continuously learning to honor my truth,” Keys said in a statement. “Alongside my sister, mentor, and friend Oprah, this book is one of the most exciting chapters yet.”

Flatiron Books added: “The result is a 360-degree perspective on Alicia’s path — from her girlhood in Hell’s Kitchen and Harlem, to her career as a 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist, songwriter, and record producer, to the process of self-discovery she’s still navigating.”

“I could feel the power of Alicia’s presence even before she belted out the first soulful notes of the lyrics that made her famous — ‘I keep on fallin’ in and out of love with you,’” Winfrey added. “I knew she had all those sparkling qualities that make stars shine. The multitalented star has been officially announced as the 2019 Grammys’ host. The news were confirmed by CBS Tuesday. 

The 37-year-old musician is more than confident when it comes to hosting the 61st annual ceremony and is bent on making the night a true celebration of music. 

“This is my first time. I am thrilled!” the 37-year-old star told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s a little bit of a second home to me. And I feel so blessed to be able to be coming now, just in support of so many amazing people that are honored — especially so many women that are [going to be] honored — and are gonna be celebrated that night.”

Keys has won fifteen awards herself but this will be the first time she’ll take the stage as the show’s host. Despite that, she isn’t looking for any advice from former emcees. 

“No, I don’t need any advice from them,” the singer declared with confidence. “It’s gonna be a vibe. We’re gonna have an amazing time,” she added. 

Keys is taking over as host form James Corden who served as emcee for the past two years.

“Alicia is one of those rare artists who melds true musical genius with heartfelt emotional lyrics to create a unique approach to everything she does,” executive producer Ken Ehrlich said. “We have no doubt that she’ll bring all of that as she guides millions of Grammy viewers through what we believe will be a very special show in February.”

The 2019 Grammys air February 10.

The first-time coach came out triumphant beating the reigning champion Blake Shelton, who got six titles under his belt for the last 14 seasons.

Clarkson and Shelton made a side bet earlier this year that if Clarkson wins, the country crooner will have to call her “Queen.”

“Don’t think I’m not waiting,” Clarkson told ET after the finale’s show. “I haven’t checked my phone but I’m a hold him to it.”

Clarkson isn’t holding on that he’ll actually do that. “He ain’t even gonna say it,” she said, laughing. “He ain’t gonna follow through.”

When it got down to Tuesday’s top 2, Cartelli ended up against Britton Buchanan (coached by Alicia Keys), making this the first time in The Voice history that both final contestants had female coaches.

“It was one of those things where we were like, regardless [of what happens],  a female is walking out of here a winner,” Clarkson shared. “It was really Alicia and I’s goal just to beat the cowboys. So, success!”

The 36-year-old pop diva will be defending her crown against Shelton, Adam Levine and returning coach Jennifer Hudson for the next season of The Voice.
