Season 2 opened with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw’s trying to overcome the loss of her beloved husband Mr. Big. Nixon’s Miranda Hobbes is on her journey of self-discovery, while navigating her complex relationship with Che (Sara Ramirez), while Davis’ Charlotte York wants to figure out who she is outside her role as a devoted mother and wife.
Season 2 will end its run on August 24, and the finale will feature a brief cameo from Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in S-x and the City.
And Just Like That… premiered on HBO Max in 2021, and it was granted renewal due to its impressive ratings despite being conceived as a mini-series. Its creator Michael Patrick King said they’re “thrilled to spend more time in the S-x and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters” following the Season 3 renewal.

]]>Sara Ramirez will be joining the series with Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, playing Che Diaz. According to the logline Diaz is “a non-binary, queer, stand-up comedian that hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured. Che is a big presence with a big heart whose outrageous sense of humor and progressive, human overview of gender roles has made them and their podcast very popular.”
Ramirez is best known for playing Callie Torres on Grey’s Anatomy and Kat Sandoval on Madam Secretary. They also won a Tony for Monty Python’s Spamalot.
The revival’s creator Michael Patrick King said in the casting announcement, “Everyone at ‘And Just Like That…’ is beyond thrilled that a dynamically talented actor such as Sara Ramírez has joined the ‘Sex and the City’ family. Sara is a one-of-a-kind talent, equally at home with comedy and drama – and we feel excited and inspired to create this new character for the show.”
Sex and the City ran from 1998 to 2004 and there were two films. The show centered around a group of four friends living in New York City.
