]]> The Crow is the latest ’90s classic getting its modern-day remaining, and we finally know what to expect from it. The first trailer for Rupert Sanders’ remake is here, and it stars Bill Skarsgård as the titular hero and FKA Twigs as his soulmate Shelly Webster.

The Crow puts a modern twist on James O’Barr’s graphic novel, and it centers on Eric Draven (Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA Twigs), soulmates who must catch up with demons of their dark past after being brutally murdered.

“Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right,” reads Lionsgate’s official synopsis.

In addition to the leading duo, the new version of The Crow will also star Isabella Wei, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila, and Jordan Bolger in supporting roles. Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) directed the film from a screenplay by Zach Baylin and Will Schneider.

This film marks a reboot of the 1994 classic starring the late Brandon Lee in his final film appearance. It will be released by Lionsgate on June 7.

]]> Celebrated commercials director Edson Oda is making his feature debut with Nine Days and rounded up a pretty impressive cast. Winston Duke (Us), Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2) and Bill Skarsgård (It) will lead the way in this intriguing project.

According to the official logline, Nine Days tells the story of a reclusive man, who “interviews prospective candidates, a personification of human souls, for the privilege that he once had – to be born.” Duke will take on the main role, and Beetz and Skarsgård will play the candidates, alongside Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange) and David Rysdahl (That’s Not Us).

Before plotting this project, Edson Oda won the Golden Lion and three Bronze Lions in the Cannes International Creativity Festival with his ad campaigns and received critical acclaim for his short film Malaria.

“[I am] thrilled to be working with such an incredible cast and amazing team. So grateful for all the support I have received. Nine Days is a very personal story to me, and I can’t imagine a better team to help me tell it,” Oda said in a statement.

]]> Bill Skarsgård is back in his Pennywise costume, and he’s just as terrifying as we remember him. The Swedish actor will return to playing the creepy clown in It: Chapter Two, and first photos from the set are finally here.

Skarsgård was spotted filming scenes for the horror sequel in Toronto, and he’s looking sinister as ever. The leaked photo shows Pennywise sitting on the shoulder of a gigantic Paul Bunyan statue. In the source material, Pennywise took over the body of the statue to terrorize our heroes, and it seems we’re going to see this iconic scene in the movie as well.

It: Chapter Two boasts an impressive cast playing the grown-up versions of the members of Losers’ Club. Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader and Jay Ryan will be amongst the actors replacing younger cast. Skarsgård will obviously be back and he can’t wait to play against these amazing actors.

“It’s going to be a very different experience this time around, just given the fact that you have all of these incredible, seasoned actors to play against, as opposed to having all the kids. So it’s going to be a different experience for sure. But I’m looking forward to it,” said Skarsgård.

It: Chapter Two is coming to the theaters on September 6, 2019. Andy Muschietti will return to direct.
