SEA units comprise 232,000 (equaling 300.41 million official streams), while traditional album sales comprise 168,000, and TEA units comprise 7,000. With 62,000 vinyl copies sold, Cowboy Carter earned Beyoncé her largest week on vinyl.
Queen B also set several personal milestones with Cowboy Carter, which scored her the largest streaming week of her career. It’s also her eighth solo album to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and she tied with Janet Jackson for the fourth-most chart-topping albums among women soloists.
Cowboy Carter also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making history as the first album by a female Black artist to rise to the top. She previously became the first Black woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts with a country song with its lead single “Texas Hold ‘Em”.

If Minaj is to be believed, the first-week numbers for Pink Friday 2 could’ve been even more impressive. She accused Billboard of taking approximately 100,000 units away from her, eliminating copies connected to the “100 Barbz” contest, where she asked fans to provide proof that they purchased all four versions of the album for a chance to select a bonus track for the deluxe edition of the album.
With or without 100,000 additional units, Pink Friday 2 made history during its first week on the chart. In addition to transforming Minaj into the only female rapper with three No. 1 albums, it also had the largest week for a female rap album during the 2020s, the largest vinyl week for a rap album by a woman, and the largest streaming week of Minaj’s career.

Its hit song “First Person Shooter” ft. J. Cole hit No. 1 on the Billboards Hot 100 chart, becoming Drake’s 13th track to do so. All 23 songs from this album made it to the Hot 100 this week, bringing his total to a record-breaking 320 entries.
Drake tied Michael Jackson’s record for most No. 1 songs among solo male artists, with Rihanna (14), Mariah Carey (19), and The Beatles (20) still ahead of them. He’ll have to go a long way to surpass them, but this is not his priority right now, since he decided to take a break from music for about a year due to health problems.
“I need to focus on my health, first and foremost — and I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life, and I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach,” said Drake during his radio show Table for One on SiriusXM’s Sound 42.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,” she explained on Instagram.

Debuting at no. 1 with the biggest week of the year isn’t the only important achievement of Fearless (Taylor’s Version). This is the first country album by a female artist in history to top the Billboard 200 and have the biggest weekly streams. Swift also became the first female artist to have three different albums top the chart in less than a year.
Swift announced her decision to re-record her first six studio albums following the dispute regarding ownership of her masters. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was released on April 9th, and it features a total of 26 tracks, including six previously unreleased songs “from the vault”.
