Frozen 2 has passed the $1 billion mark at the global box office, grossing $366.5 million domestically and $666 million internationally, officially making it the sixth Disney release of the year to join the billion-dollar club and the eighth overall. 

But after 24 days of domestic release (the film hit theaters on the weekend before Thanksgiving), it has been relinquished No. 2 in the box office by to Jumanji: The Next Level, with an impressive $60.1 million. 

The original 2013 film also crossed the impressive benchmark grossing $1.28 billion at the global box office, which also earned it the title of the top-grossing animated film of all time. 

The other 2019 films in the billion-dollar club are Avengers: Endgame, The Lion King, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Captain Marvel, Toy Story 4, Joker and Aladdin.

The unlikely superhero has officially dethroned the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel as highest grossing DC Extended Universe feature. 

The Jason Momoa-led feature is officially the highest worldwide box-office total of any DC Extended Universe. Aquaman has already surpassed Justice League’s$657, Man of Steel’s $668 million, Suicide Squad’s $746 million and Wonder Woman‘s $821 million. 

And now it has dethroned Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice surpassing the latter in worldwide ticket sales.  Since its release last month, the Warner Bros. feature has grossed $887 million in comparison to the former title holder with $873 million. According to multiple reports, Aquaman is also likely to cross the $1 billion mark—a first for the franchise. 

The DC Extended Universe next releases Shazam! out April 5.
