In addition to Blanchett as Lilith, the cast of this project will include Kevin Hart as a seasoned mercenary Roland, Ariana Greenblatt as a feral pre-teen demolitionist Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu as her musclebound protector Krieg, Jamie Lee Curtis as an oddball scientist Dr. Patricia Tannis, and Jack Black as a wise robot Claptrap.

Edgar Ramírez, Gina Gershon, Haley Bennett, Bobby Lee, Olivier Richters, and Janina Gavankar round out the film’s supporting cast.

Borderlands draws inspiration from Gearbox Software’s hit video game franchise of the same name, and it’s been adapted for the big screen by Joe Crombie and Eli Roth, who also serves as its director.

Borderlands will be released theatrically by Lionsgate on August 9.

Minecraft draws inspiration from the hit Mojang/Microsoft title, which made history as the bestselling video game of all time, with 300 million copies sold and nearly 140 million monthly active players. Plot details are being kept under wraps, so we still don’t know much about this adaptation.

Jared Hess is directing the pic, but no writers are attached to it. Roy Lee, Jon Berg, Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Momoa, Torfi Frans Olafsson, Vu Bui, and the late Jill Messick are producing, with Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza, and Jonathan Spaihts serving as executive producers.

Oh Hell No focuses on the relationship between two men, Sherman (Black) and Will (Cube), after Sherman falls in love with Will’s mom. Further details about the plot and cast remain unknown, although it was previously revealed that the movie is expected to hit theaters on July 1st, 2022.

The comedy will be Sakurai’s first project since Netflix comedy Bad Trip. The list of his previous works also includes The Eric Andre Show and FX’s series Dave.

Jack Black hasn’t been on the big screen since 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level but has several movies lined up for release in the near future. This includes an appearance in the live-action adaptation of popular video game Borderlands, in which he is set to star as fan-favorite Claptrap.

Ice Cubemost recently starred in the 2020’s comedy-drama The High Note. He is currently filming Rich Lee’s sci-fi flick War of the Worlds, in which he stars alongside Eva Longoria. He also has several projects in pre-production, including Flint Strong and Accidentes.

During the competition, Stiller, Kudrow, Cox, and Scott try to solve the puzzles while Black manipulates a set of buzzers and they can ask him only three clues. When they finally figure it out, there are more surprises waiting for them and you can see Cox walking through a tiny, dark room by herself—reminiscent of her horror days in Scream.

In a sneak peek Scott says, “The game master is Jack Black and he is diabolical,” Scott says.

“It’s a battle of wits,” Black explains. “You against the room.”

Who’s the weakest link in this A-list team? “That’s me,” Kudrow volunteers.

“No, you’re so smart,” Cox says. “It’s going to be [Adam Scott].”

For each room the players complete, money is donated to Red Nose Day to charities for children in need. The show aired on May 21 on NBC and was followed by the two-hour Red Nose Day Special.

This time around, four teenagers stumble upon an old video game after they were sent to detention and were made to clean a dusty old basement. The four find themselves trapped in the games’ avatars: Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan, when as expected dangerous animals and jungle peril ensue.

The body-swapping element definitely adds a comic touch to the movie as the four must portray inherently different type cast: Johnson is a self-conscious gamer, Hart is a cocky football player, and Black is the most popular girl in school.
