The album sold 264,000 equivalent album units in the US in the first week, according to Nielsen Music, with streaming being the majority of that number and the remaining 109,000 in album sales.

Now that West has had nine consecutive peak debuts, he is officially tied with Eminem for the most consecutive No. 1’s on the Billboard 200 charts. His only album to miss the No. 1. spot was 2004’s The College Dropout, which peaked at No. 2.

West tweeted Monday that the delayed album is officially dropping in just a few days. 

“JESUS IS KING OCT 25th,” the rapper tweeted, alongside an image of a blue vinyl record with his name and the album title.

The album was originally supposed to debut September 27, but, According to Entertainment Weekly, West told fans at the Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience event at George Washington University on October 12, that the album is delayed because he is “making it better for y’all.”

A companion IMAX film, also titled Jesus Is King, is scheduled for release on the same day.
