The feature hails from director Amanda Kramer from a script she co-wrote with Noel David Taylor.
The story follows newlyweds Suse and Arthur who, after witnessing a murder in the gritty streets of a surreal 1950s Manhattan, become the dangerous obsession of a greaser gang that awakens a sleeping quandary into the couple’s own sexual identity.
The project re-teams Kramer and Hawke who previously collaborated on Ladyworld. Hawke is best known for her breakout role on season three of Netflix’s Stranger Things. Plummer currently stars on the Hulu series Looking for Alaska and Riseborough can be seen next in The Grudge reboot.

]]>The release of the tracks Friday follows a teaser Hawke dropped earlier in the week, sharing snippets of one of the songs on Instagram. She also took the opportunity to announce a performance at the Sultan Room in Williamsburg on August 21.
The Stranger Things star joins her co-stars, Joe Keery, Charlie Heaton, Gaten Matarazzo, and Finn Wolfhard, who have all ventured into the music scene.
The two singles, “To Love a Boy” and “Stay Open,” were written by Hawke while Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jesse Harris, best known for working with Norah Jones, wrote the music. The tracks feature Hawke’s vocals paired with “some soft guitar strumming and a number of pared-down instruments.”
Hawke most recently starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

]]>Coppola‘s next project has been described as an “eccentric love triangle” and a “cautionary tale of preserving your identity within the fast-moving internet age.” She wrote the script alongside Tom Stuart and should start filming before the end of the year.
Garfield isn’t the only reason to go see Mainstream once it finally hits the theaters. This intriguing love story also stars Maya Hawke, Jason Schwartzman, and Nat Wolff, who starred in Coppola’s directorial debut Palo Alto in 2013.
Gia Coppola comes from a long line of successful filmmakers, but she started paving her own path only a few years ago. Despite relatively disappointing box office performance, her first film Palo Alto impressed the critic with its terrific and truthful portrayal of teenage lives. Let’s hope Mainstream does the same thing!

]]>The star-studded film is set against the backdrop of the Manson Family murders. The duo will be joining the already announced cast including Leonardo DiCaprio who will play Rick Dalton, former star of a western TV series and Brad Pitt who will play his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth. Back in April Tarantino said that DiCaprio and Pitt will be “the most exciting dynamic star duo since Paul Newman and Robert Redford.”
Margot Robbie, Luke Perry, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Keith Jefferson, and Nicholas Hammond will round out the cast.
It has been quite a year for Hawke who has been tapped to appear in season three of the hit supernatural series Stranger Things and the TV miniseries Little Women.
According to Variety Dunham will be playing a character named Gypsy and Hawke has been cast as the fictional character Flower Child. This will be Dunham’s first major feature film role.
Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is set to premiere July 26, 2019.
