Marvel’s presentation at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con has given us many amazing moments, but none of them compared to the Doctor Doom casting announcement. The Russo brothers built the hype by saying that this iconic villain would be played by “the greatest actor in the world” before a masked man in green stepped on stage.
The audience lost their minds when the mystery man took his mask off to reveal he was none other than Robert Downey Jr., the actor responsible for bringing Tony Stark/Iron Man to life. The Russos have described his casting as “proof of the unimaginable possibilities of the Marvel Universe.”
They’ll return to direct the next two Marvel movies – Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, set to be released in 2026 and 2027. Downey will appear in both, but it remains unclear if we’ll also get to see him in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, even though Doctor Doom is one of the main antagonists of this franchise.

Avengers: Endgame was so good that many fans have been to the cinema twice or even three times, just to watch the action on the big screen again. These re-watches have led some fans to pick up on a rather small detail that could possibly hint at what is to come in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In one scene, Okoye mentions an earthquake under the sea and fans think this could mean a new villain is coming to town.
“When Okoye was talking about an earthquake under the sea. I think it was really hinting at Namor the Sub-Mariner whose going to introduce everyone to the Elementals,” one fan tweeted. “And those will big the big baddies.”
Another said: “Okoye: mentions an earthquake underneath the ocean. my ass, desperate to see Bob M in the MCU: Namor reference??? Namor the Sub-Mariner??? Please???”
In a 5 star review, OMG Check It Out said about Avengers: Endgame: “The final battle scene was the phenomenal climax that we’ve all been dreaming of. The Avengers use the stones to open portals and every single superhero that has ever appeared in Marvel shows up to fight Thanos and his army. Black Banther and his army from Wakanda are at the ready along with Doctor Strange, the guardians of the galaxy and Spider-Man. Visually, the battle was off the charts and Captain Marvel shows up at just the right moment to take down one of Thanos’ ships.”
The final installment of the Avengers franchise is in cinemas now.

Starring in a movie of this scope was out of her comfort zone, but Paltrow agreed to do it as a favor to Favreau. The oscar-winning actress described filming of the first movie as a wonderful experience and said it was amazing to watch how important it has become to fans.
Unfortunately, Paltrow feels she’s a little bit old to be running around wearing a suit, and that’s part of the reason why she’s leaving MCU. She’s still open to the possibility of making a cameo in one of the future films.
“Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?’ I will always be there if they need me. I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” said
