]]>House of the Dragon has been adapted from George R.R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. It takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen, serving as a prequel to the hit HBO series, which ran for eight seasons.
The show is expected to lead to the event known as Dance of the Dragons, the civil war taking place between King Viserys I’s children as they fight for their rightful place on the throne following his death, forcing all of Westeros to pick sides.
The cast of the exciting prequel series includes Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), and many more.
House of the Dragon will premiere on HBO on August 21 and it will feature a total of ten episodes. Ryan J. Condal and Miguel Sapochnik, who won an Emmy Award for directing the episode “Battle of the Bastards” serve as showrunners.

The Outsider centers on an investigation of a gruesome murder of a local boy in a tiny town in Oklahoma. The script was written by Richard Price, who’s no stranger to working with HBO. He received two Emmy nods for his work on limited series The Night Of and was also credited as one of the writers of The Deuce.
Ozark star Jason Bateman will be in charge of directing first two episodes of this intriguing thriller. He’ll also serve as executive producer through his company Aggregate Films, which previously produced several of his films including Bad Words and Game Night.
