The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Michael Fassbender, Jamie Foxx, and Peter Dinklage are in talks to star in the Gibson-helmed remake of the 1969 Sam Peckinpah western The Wild Bunch for Warner Bros.

Gibson also co-wrote the script with Bryan Bagby. Jerry Bruckheimer is attached to produce. 

The remake will be the first time Gibson steps behind the camera since Hacksaw Ridge in 2016, which won two Oscars and received four other nominations including Best Picture and Best Director.

Tyrion Lannister is definitely one of the heroes everyone is rooting for, but Peter Dinklage isn’t sure his future is bright.

The actor, who rose to prominence thanks to the role of the former Lord of Casterly Rock, recently opened about his character’s fate. After being asked how does he feel about where Tyrion is left at the end of the series, he gave a very cryptic answer that sent fans into a frenzy.

“I feel very, very – I’m trying to find the right word. I think he was given a very good conclusion. No matter what that is – death can be a great way out,” said Dinklage.

The three-time Emmy winner didn’t confirm nor deny Tyrion won’t make it to the end of the line, but his answer prepared us for the worst – tragedy and devastation final season of Game of Thrones may bring upon us, once it premieres in 2019.

Dinklage is moving to the realm of big-screen fairytales for Sony’s adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin. Rumpelstiltskin was first introduced by the Brothers Grimm in their 1812 collection Children’s and Household Tales. It tells the story of a miller who tells the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold. As he helps the girl spin the straw into riches in order to avoid her father’s wrath Rumpelstiltskin’s true colors show when he demands her first-born child as payment.

Patrick Ness and Karen Rosenfelt will adapt the script. Circle of Confusion’s Matt Smith and David Alpert, David Ginsberg, and Josh Weinstock producing the project that is still in the early stages of gestation. 

According to EW, this project is not going to be Dinklage’s first post GoT undertaking after the series ends in 2019.

Luckily, the show’s star Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister, has offered sound advice to GoT fans in a release from PETA: “Please, please: if you’re going to bring a dog into your family, make sure you’re prepared for such a tremendous responsibility and remember to always, ALWAYS, adopt from a shelter.”

The phenomenon of increased demand for a certain dog breed has happened in the past with movies such as 101 Dalmatians, Men in Black, and Legally Blonde. 

This isn’t the first time the long-time vegetarian actor has teamed up with PETA, and he is one in a list of celebrities including GoT co-star Lena Headey who plays Cersei Lannister, who have worked with PETA to promote kindness to animals.
