]]>Big news RuPaul fans — pop star Miley Cyrus has confirmed that she will appear on Season 11’s premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The 26-year-old star and lover of queens announced the news Tuesday via her social media. She shared a video teaser for the episode, which featured her strutting down the runway before asking, “Are you freaking out? Because I’m freaking out!”
Cyrus will join RuPaul as a special guest for the upcoming February 28 premiere. Her appearance will be the third consecutive season opener fronted by a real-life diva after Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera who fronted Seasons 9 and 10 respectively. According to the network, Miley will go undercover in the workroom to spy on the new cast as they prepare for their challenge.
Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race will feature 15 fabulous queens competing for the coveted title of America’s Drag Superstar.

]]>Fans of RuPaul’s and Britney are going crazy over the possibly that the Toxic signer will join the show as a guest star.
On Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen asked Emmy winner RuPaul to finally solve the mystery surrounding Britney and the beloved reality competition series. But all that RuPaul did was fuel to the fire when asked if rumors that Britney will make an appearance on Drag Race were true.
“I cannot deny nor confirm,” he teased.
Britney did confirm that she filmed an episode of Drag Race but spared on the details.
“I did an episode. I don’t know if I can tell you which season. It hasn’t aired yet, but it’s coming up. I love Ru,” she continued. “I’ve been wanting to do this show forever, but the dates never worked out. It was so cool watching Ru work and being a part of the show. Ru is everything.”

]]>The teaser is loud, eccentric and naturally, absolutely fabulous. The Christmas special will bring back some of our favorite Queens in Drag Race history, including Shangela, Latrice Royale, Kim Chi, Jasmine Masters, and Trixie Mattel. They will all be competing for the one-off opportunity to be named “Christmas Queen”.
They will be competing against each other in a range of mini-challenges and the runway is looking super chic and festive. They will also be taking on an X-mas musical number, choreographed by Todrick Hall.
Yes, Christmas is a time for fun and joy and all that stuff, but the heat is still on. The self-proclaimed “Elephant Queen”, Eureka, told Entertainment Weekly:
“It’s Christmas so we’re laughing and having fun… Trixie is excited to open presents and can’t be bothered, and Shangela is posting Christmas Cards on the wall.”
She added: “Everyone wants to have fun, knowing it’s just one episode for a holiday, but the competition is real… Honey, we’re delivering some ’80s extravaganza. And you know Kim Chi almost fell.”
RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular airs Friday, December 7 on VH1.

]]>Eight RuPaul’s Drag Race fan favorites are reuniting to make your holidays extra. According to Entertainment Weekly, the queens will sashay back into the Werk Room for a special episode.
The competitive holiday-themed special was announced Tuesday by VH1. The Emmy-winning reality series will return Friday, December 7 for RuPaul’s Drag Race Holi-slay Spectacular. Competing for the title of ‘Drag Race Xmas Queen’ are Eureka O’Hara, Jasmine Masters, Shangela, Kim Chi, Latrice Royale, Mayhem Miller, Sonique, and Trixie Mattel.
“Nothing says Christmas like ‘Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, and drag queens slipping on their pantyhose,’” RuPaul said of the episode via a press statement. “Celebrating the holidays with my most festive girls inspired me to record my new album, Christmas Party. And this VH1 holiday extravaganza is my way of saying thank you to my Drag Race family by spreading a little bit of love, laughter, and light across the country and around the world.”

“After 10 sickening seasons, the Drag Race phenomenon is just getting started,” executive producer and host RuPaul Charles said in a statement Wednesday. “I want to thank VH1 for providing this amazing platform for a whole new generation of super talented drag queens.”
The series’ current season is its most watched, averaging a total of 1.2 million viewers.
“We are thrilled that Drag Race will continue to lead the conversation of inclusion and diversity as the show embarks on its 11th season,” Pamela Post, senior vp original programming and development at VH1, added in a statement. “It’s unprecedented for a show to continue to grow on the scale that Drag Race has, and it’s just the beginning.”
This season also included of A-list celebrity judges including Ariana Grande, Lena Dunham and Christina Aguilera.
RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, the series’ half-hour after-show, will also return with the new season.
