]]>Shang-Chi and Spider-Man are both in the running for a total of five awards, including one of the shinies trophies of the night—best superhero movie. The list of nominees in this category also includes Black Widow, Eternals, The Suicide Squad, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
The list of major contenders in the movie field also includes Don’t Look Up, The Harder They Fall, No Time to Die, and The Suicide Squad with four nods each.
When it comes to the television field, Evil and Midnight Mass are clear leaders with six nominations each, mostly in the horror field. Marvel also had a good showing with five nods for its Disney+ shows WandaVision and Loki, but Netflix was close behind with Squid Game, which received four nominations.
The Critics’ Choice Super Awards were introduced last year by the Critics’ Choice Association, as a way of honoring film and television genres that often get overlooked by traditional award shows. The award ceremony is set to take place on March 17th.

]]>A couple of pretty exciting blockbusters are coming to a theater near you in the next couple of months – and here’s five you shouldn’t miss for the world.

Marvel’s next film takes us to the post-Endgame world, and of course, it’s already on everyone’s watch list.

]]>After trying to keep as much as they can under wraps (despite Tom Holland’s constant attempts to spoil stuff), Marvel finally showed us what to expect in this short clip. Contrary to popular belief, “far from home” is still located on Earth – in Europe to be precise.
This superhero flick was filmed in London, Prague,
The first trailer also offers a first look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, but fans are left wondering if he’s friend or foe. We’ll get the answer to this – and many more questions – when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5.

]]>The post Jake Gyllenhaal Confirms He’ll Play Mysterio in “Spider-Man: Far From Home” appeared first on OMG Check It Out !.
]]>The 37-year-old actor decided to make the confirmation now by posting a short video on his Instagram profile in which he’s seen reading one of the older issues of The Amazing Spider-Man comic which features Mysterio on the front page. The Nightcrawler star captioned the video with: “I just realized I’m not playing Spider-Man.” Check it out below.
Jake Gyllenhaal almost played Spider-Man at one point in his career. Director Sam Raimi considered casting him as the wall-crawling superhero in the second movie of his Spider-Man trilogy since original star Tobey Maguire had issues with his health. However, Maguire ended up recovering before the film entered the production and Gyllenhaal moved on to other roles. It seems fitting now that he returns as one of Spider-Man’s arch rivals.
Although there were several incarnations of the character depicted in the comics, the most popular Mysterio remains Quentin Beck. Although he doesn’t possess any superhuman powers, Beck is highly skilled when it comes to special effects and illusions, while also being a hypnotist. The character made his comic debut in 1964 with The Amazing Spider-Man #13, while also being featured in other media like video games and animated movies and TV series.
Spider-Man: Far From Home wrapped up filming in October and is scheduled for release on July 5, 2019, in the United States.
