]]>The cast for the Lena Dunham-directed Industry has been unveiled and includes Myha’la Herrold (The Tattooed Heart), Marisa Abela (Cobra), Harry Lawtey (Marcella), David Jonsson (Deep State), Nabhaan Rizwan (Informer), Freya Mavor (The ABC Murders), Will Tudor (Game of Thrones), Conor Macneill (Death and Nightingales), and Ken Leung (Marvel’s Inhumans).
Per Variety, the banking drama is set in the world of international finance and shows that world through the eyes of ambitious 20-somethings struggling to secure their futures.
Industry was penned by up-and-coming Brit scribes Mickey Down and Konrad Kay. The show’s eight installments were filmed in London and Cardiff. It is executive produced by Jane Tranter, Lachlan MacKinnon, Ryan Rasmussen, Dunham, Mickey Down, Konrad Kay, and Ben Irving.
Industry is expected to debut sometime next year.

]]>According to multiple outlets, Jenna Coleman is set to play Marie-Andrée Leclerc, the partner and accomplice of French serial killer Charles Sobrhaj, played by Tahar Rahim, in the BBC and Netflix drama The Serpent.
She joins previously announced Ellie Bamber and Billy Howle.
“The Serpent intoxicated me into the dark seductive world of Charles Sobhraj,” Coleman said. “I’m so looking forward to delving into hippie-trail depths and bringing to life this unfathomable real-life story alongside Tahar, Billy, Ellie, Tom, Richard and the wonderful cast and production team for the BBC and Netflix.”
The eight-part limited series is directed by Tom Shankland and Hans Herbots from a script by Richard Warlow and Toby Finlay.
The series is currently filming on location in Thailand.

]]>The broadcaster has picked up the Austrian-set crime thriller, filmed on location in Vienna.
Vienna Blood hails from Sherlock scribe Steve Thompson. It is based on the best-selling novels by Frank Tallis. It is produced by the UK’s Endor Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, and Austria’s MR Film.
Vienna Blood stars Matthew Beard (The Imitation Game), and Juergen Maurer (Tatort). The series follows Max Liebermann (Beard) a “brilliant young English doctor, studying under psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud. He meets Oskar Rheinhardt (Maurer), an Austrian detective and the pair go on to tackle some of Vienna’s most mysterious and deadly cases.”
Sue Deeks, the BBC’s head acquisitions, said: “Vienna Blood is a unique, ambitious and compelling crime drama, set in glorious Vienna during an extraordinary period in its history.”
“We are proud to have brought Frank Tallis’ outstanding novels to life in the historic and beautiful city of Vienna,” said Endor boss Hilary Bevan Jones. Oliver Auspitz and Andreas Kamm of MR Film added: “Vienna Blood is no longer just a best-selling novel, it’s now a TV drama with global appeal.”
Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones), Charlene McKenna (Ripper Street), Amelia Bullmore (Gentleman Jack), Jessica De Gouw (Dracula), and Luise Von Finckh also star.
