The Twilight Zone reboot premiered on CBS All Access on April 1 and attracted more viewers with its first episode than any of their previous original shows.
In addition to developing and executive producing this show, Jordan Peele also serves as a narrator, but he was very reluctant about taking on this rule.
“In the end, it felt right. It was one of those situations where how long can you bat away the opportunity of a lifetime? I did it, and it’s such an incredible honor and it feels like I’m living in an episode of The Twilight Zone,” said Peele during PaleyFest.

]]>According to Deadline, the 36-year-old actor has been tapped to star in an upcoming episode of The Twilight Zone.
The cult classic has been revived by CBS All Access. It is set to premiere two new episodes on the streaming service on April 1, bringing fans back their beloved twist endings, spooky characters and eerie theme song.
According to the outlet, there are no additional details about Rogen’s character nor any hint about which episode he is set to appear in. Rogen joins the previously announced revival’s guest stars including, Greg Kinnear, Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho, Ike Barinholtz, Taissa Farmiga, Ginnifer Goodwin, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, and Steven Yeun.
The original series aired from 1959 to 1964 and was hosted and narrated by Rod Serling. Jordan Peele has been set as host and narrator in the new anthology.
Following the April Fool’s premiere, the show will air weekly on Thursdays.

]]>The spooky series created by Rod Serling ran for five seasons on CBS from 1959-1964, winning a Golden Globe and two Emmy’s during that time. Producers CBS Television Studios retained the rights to the classic series and will executive produce the new show.
It is reported that the series will be produced by actor and filmmaker Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, with Marco Ramirez (Netflix Marvel dramas The Defenders and Daredevil, Sons of Anarchy) to write the script and serve as showrunner. CBS All Access declined to comment on Peele and Ramirez’s involvement as official details have not yet been released.
The news comes following the success of its revival of Star Trek: Discovery, which the streamer said drove record subscriptions to the platform and has been renewed for a season two. The Twilight Zone joins a roster of CBS All Access scripted originals including dramas The Good Fight (a spinoff of The Good Wife), Strange Angel, $1 and comedy No Activity.
Peele recently broke box office records with his indie horror Get Out, which many described as an African-American version of The Twilight Zone.
CBS revived the series in 1985 and brought on some heavy hitters in the world of sci-fi and horror to write the episodes. The reboot ran for three seasons before producing a final season for syndication. It was then revived a second time by the now-defunct UPN network, but only lasted one season, ET reports.
