]]> After serving as a judge on American Idol, pop star Mariah Carey is joining another reality singing competition. Carey recently revealed on social media that she will be joining season 15 of NBC’s The Voice, serving as a “knockouts advisor” on Jennifer Hudson’s team during the show’s knockout rounds.

In addition to her role as an advisor, the “We Belong Together” singer will also be a mentor for all 32 singers who will make it to this round of the competition.

“The sessions with the contestants, some of them have completely blown me away,” said Carey during her appearance on NBC’s Today. “It’s like a humbling experience to be around all the raw talent.”

Carey will make The Voice debut on Monday, October 29th when the show returns to television for knockout rounds.

Mariah Carey is also busy with preparing her fifteenth studio album Caution, which will be available on November 16, 2018. She already presented two singles from the album, “GTFO” and “With You,” both of which received positive reviews from the critics. Carey also announced that she will support the album with a tour across North America, which will see her visiting 22 cities from February 27th to April 6th.

]]> After John Legend recently achieved the EGOT status (given to a person who wins Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award), he figured it is now time to share his wisdom with others. And what’s a better way to do it than mentoring young talents on NBC’s reality singing competition The Voice.

NBC announced that Legend will join The Voice as a new coach for season 16, replacing Jennifer Hudson, who is leaving the show after season 15.

“John Legend is a one-of-a-kind musician and producer with remarkable skills that are beyond measure,” said Paul Telegdy, president of the alternative and reality group at NBC Entertainment, in a statement. “His multi-dimensional career and incredible talents provide a repertoire that will excite and inspire our artists. This coaching panel is sure to ignite season 16.”

John Legend will take his seat in the spinning red chair row alongside returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Season 16 is set to kick off in the spring of 2019.

“I’m thrilled to join the coaches of The Voice,” said Legend in a statement. “I’ve been a guest and mentor on the show multiple times, and I’m so excited to discover talented singers and help them make the most of their gift. I hope the world is ready for #TeamJL.”

John Legend joining the show is just a continuation of great news for The Voice fans. NBC recently announced that the upcoming season will feature a companion series titled The Comeback Stage. This series, hosted by singer Kelsea Ballerini, will see six candidates who didn’t make it through past the Blind Auditions, receiving a chance to fight for their spot in the playoffs once again. The Comeback Stag will premiere at the same time as the 15th season of The Voice.

]]> The Voice is set to become a lot more interesting once the reality competition series comes back for season 15 in late September. According to E! News, the upcoming season of The Voice will also feature a companion series, titled The Comeback Stage, which will feature music star Kelsea Ballerini as a judge.

The Comeback Stage will see Ballerini mentoring six contestants who performed during the Blind Auditions but failed to get through to the next round. This companion series will give them a second chance to do so, and book their spot in the Top 13 live shows, which are scheduled to take place in November.

At the beginning of the series, Kelsea Ballerini will pair the six artists into Battle Pairings, with each one of the contestants getting coached to perform an individual song. Ballerini will then pick the best artist from each pair, setting the stage for the Comeback Stage Finals. After completing the songs, two of them will be selected by “Dibs” singer and will compete during The Voice playoffs for the final spot. The winner will be determined by audience voice and will have his pick in joining the team he prefers.

The audience will be able to watch The Comeback Stage on The Voice Official App, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram TV, and NBC.com.

The Voice returns for season 15 on Monday, September 24 on NBC. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson return as coaches with the addition of Jennifer Hudson.
