A Fall from Grace, the story of a woman who’s recently gone through a divorce and is in the midst of a new relationship, will soon have this new romance shattered by secrets.

Perry announced the upcoming film on Twitter, “My next movie guys!!! This is an amazing thriller!!!” The cast so far includes Crystal Fox, Phylicia Rashad, Bresha Webb, Cicely Tyson, and Tyler Perry.

Perry has previously worked with Fox and Tyson; Tyson was in Diary of a Mad Black Woman and in Madea’s Family Reunion and Fox is currently in Perry’s series The Haves and the Have Nots.

Netflix’s Strong Black Lead account also took to Twitter to tag Mechad Brooks, the Supergirl, Nobody’s Fool, and The Game actor in a tweet about the film and they shared that more cast members would be revealed.

The thriller will be available on the streaming platform on January 17.

Aretha! A Grammy Celebration for the Queen of Soul hails from CBS, the Recording Academy, AEG Ehrlich Ventures and Clive Davis. The live concert will be taped on January 13 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and later broadcast on the network. 

The concert will feature songs from Franklin’s legendary repertoire performed by Grammy winning artists as well as Grammy nominees. Among those chosen to perform are Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Alessia Cara, Kelly Clarkson, Common, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Patti LaBelle, BeBe Winans, Brandi Carlile, Chloe X Halle, H.E.R., Janelle Monáe and SZA. 

“This special will celebrate Aretha Franklin’s numerous accomplishments as an entertainment icon, singer, songwriter, pianist, actress and civil rights activist,” said Jack Sussman, CBS’ exec VP of specials, music and live events. “Aretha had an incredible effect on humanity and music with her indomitable spirit and grace. We look forward to honoring this music legend with numerous performers who all admire and respect the Queen of Soul.”

These gifts positioned her as a true cultural icon, and the Recording Academy is honored to celebrate her inspirational legacy.”

Walmart layaway enables customers to reserve the items they want to purchase and pay for them over an extended period of time. After the items are paid for, the customers can take them home.

After his generous gesture, Kid Rock went on Twitter and said that he was inspired by actor Tyler Perry, who recently did the same thing at two Walmarts located in Georgia.

Tyler Perry recently made the announcement on social media that the cleared out the layaways for all accounts at two Walmarts, located in Atlanta and Douglasville. The total worth of the accounts was reportedly around $434,000.

“I have paid for all of your layaways for Christmas. So Merry Christmas to everybody,” – he said in a video posted to social media. “You got to go into the Walmart, get your layaway and pay a penny, one penny, and you get your layaway. I know it’s hard times and a lot of people are struggling. I’m just really really grateful to be able to be in a position to do this. So, God bless you. Go get your stuff.”

The 49-year-old actor broke the news during his appearance on Bevy Smith’s “Bevelations.”

“I just don’t want to be her age [still] playing her,” Perry explained his decision. “I’m doing one last tour in 2019 — the farewell tour — and the last movie is Madea’s Funeral that I shot two years ago,” he added. “So, we’re gonna say goodbye.”

Tyler Perry first introduced Madea, “a tough elderly black woman,” in his 1999’s play I Can Do Bad All by Myself. The character was then featured in a number of other Perry’s plays before making its first big screen appearance in his directorial debut, 2005’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

Madea had a significant presence in Tyler Perry’s movies through the years as either supporting or lead character. Although the films featuring the character usually received negative reviews from the critics, they managed to earn more than $500 million at the box office.

The eleventh entry in the Madea film series, Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral, will be released on March 1, 2019.
