From The Bsaement: Juliana Hatfield

For the last 4 years the Cellar Sessions have been a passion project and collaboration between Ehud Lazin and New York city’s “City Winery.” The private intimate Sessions are usually shot in the Wine Cellar of “City Winery,” Manhattan’s ONLY fully functional Winery and Concert venue.

Juliana Hartfield:

Juliana Hatfield is an American musician and singer-songwriter from the Boston area. She was formerly of the indie rock bands ‘Blake Babies’, ‘Some Girls’, and well known for her parts in ‘The Lemonheads’ album It’s A Shame About Ray

Hartfield now performs as a solo artist and as one half of ‘Minor Alps’ alongside Matthew Caws of ‘Nada Sur’f.

Hartfiels announced a new album called Pussycat, which was released on April 28 via American Laundromat. Hatfield wrote the album as a reaction to the 2016 presidential election. “All of these songs just started pouring out of me,” she said in a statement. “I felt an urgency to record them, to get them down, and get them out there.” The album features songs called “Short-Fingered Man” and “Kellyanne.” The full-length follows last year’s project with Paul Westerberg of ‘Wild Stab’, as ‘The I Don’t Cares’.
