The Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan died suddenly on Monday in London aged 46, Huffington Post reports. The cause of death was not yet shared.
The Cranberries members – Noel Hogan, Fergal Lawler, and Mike Hogan – shared a tribute to Dolores on social media, writing: “She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to been part of her life from 1989.”
The band was formed in 1989 and had a few major hits during the ’90s, including “Zombie” and “Linger.” O’Riordan, renowned for her distinctive singing voice, went on to a solo career in 2007.
We are devastated on the passing of our friend Dolores. She was an extraordinary talent and we feel very privileged to have been part of her life from 1989 when we started the Cranberries. The world has lost a true artist today.
