Dave Chappelle Donates $50,000 From Michigan Show To Flint Foundation

Dave Chappelle donated $50,000 to a local foundation in Flint, Michigan. The comedian decided to donate everything he earned on June 7 during a comedy show in Flint to the local Community Foundation of Greater Flint.

The foundation was established in 1988. It provided people with “philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about – immediately or through their will,” as Huffington Post reports.

Chapelle revealed his intention to donate on June 7 during the show:

“I’m honored that you guys came here tonight. I want you to know that just by coming to see me you supported this city. I’m not taking a dime.”
