“Midnight, Texas” and “Marlon” Canceled by NBC

NBC has pulled the plug on two of its shows.

Midnight, Texas and Marlon won’t live to see another day.

Midnight, Texas, the supernatural series based on Charlaine Harris’ books was axed towards the end of its sophomore run, which means that today’s season 2 finale will mark its series finale.

The series revolved around supernatural activity and followed the lives of the vampires, witches, angels, and other things in a fictional Texas town. Francois Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis and Peter Mensah starred in the series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the series is being shopped to other networks by Universal Television.

Marlon starred Essence Atkins, Bresha Webb, Diallo Riddle, Notlim Taylor and Amir O’Neil. According to The Hollywood Reporter the series experienced a ratings drop from season 1 to season 2, which most likely contributed to the network’s decision to end the show. Marlon ended its second season in July and averaged a 0.6 rating and 2.6 million total viewers in season two.
