]]>Lana Condor (To All the Boys film series) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele) joined the show’s ongoing third season in mystery guest roles, along with Cree Summer (A Different World), Tatyana Ali (The Young and the Restless), and Karan Soni (Miracle Workers).
We still don’t know how their characters will fit into the world of Abbott Elementary, but we’ll learn pretty soon. Summer will be the first to join the series in the upcoming March 13 episode, which will see Janine bring a librarian to Abbott through a new pilot program.
Season 3 has already given us some pretty amazing cameos, starting with The Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, Brandon Graham, and Jason Kelce popping up on screen during the Season 3 premiere. They were followed by Bradley Cooper, who made a surprise appearance as himself in the show’s recent post-Oscars episode.
Josh Segarra, Kimia Behpoornia, and Benjamin Norris also joined Abbott Elementary in recurring roles this season, while Joy Ride’s Sabrina Wu and TikTok sensation Sabrina Brier starred as two of Abbott’s substitute teachers.

]]>Instead of simply releasing a statement announcing the show’s renewal, ABC found a fun way to share the happy news with the fans. William Stanford Davis aka Mr. Johnson tuned in during Disney’s Television Critics Association Press Tour to confirm that Abbott Elementary will be back for Season 4.
He’s expected to return for another year with the rest of the show’s main cast, including Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Season 3 premiere also featured several new supporting players, including Josh Segarra, Benjamin Norris, and Kimia Behpoornia.
Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson recently addressed the show’s future in an interview with Business Insider and said that its success is her biggest reward.
“That’s what I would say the dream is when you’re making something. For it to find an audience that’s strong enough for you to keep making more of your show, and they actually want to see it. I’ll never forget how amazing that is for us as a cast and crew and writers,” said Brunson.

]]>Quinta Brunson is back as our favorite happy-go-lucky teacher Janine Teagues, and she’s still trying to get over her crush on Gregory (Tyler James Williams). She’s not the only one who’ll have a lot going on in Season 3—Ava (Janelle James) attended a course at Harvard over the summer, and her attempts to be a good principal are only making things worse for everyone at Abbott.
Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Sheryl Lee Ralph will also return to their respective roles, and they’ll be joined by several new cast members.
Josh Segarra (The Other Two), Kimia Behpoornia (Hacks), and Benjamin Norris (Never Have I Ever) were announced as the latest additions to the cast earlier this week, and they’ll join the series as three good-natured Philadelphia school district representatives trying to make a difference at Abbott.
Season 3 of Abbott Elementary will feature 14 episodes and it will kick off with a two-episode premiere on February 7.

]]>The Banshees of Inisherin was the night’s most nominated film with eight nods—the most by any film since Cold Mountain in 2004. It managed to walk away with three accolades: best motion picture: comedy or musical, best screenwriter (Martin McDonagh), and best lead actor in a comedy or musical (Colin Farrell).
The Fabelmans came in second with two awards, including best motion picture – drama and best director for Steven Spielberg. Everything Everywhere All at Once picked up two trophies in the acting categories, thanks to its stars Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan.
Abbott Elementary dominated the television field with three wins, including best television series: musical or comedy and acting awards for its stars Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams. The White Lotus was right behind with two awards, including the best limited or anthology series, while House of the Dragon won best drama.
The 80th Golden Globe Awards were held on January 10, with Jerrod Carmichael serving as the host.

]]>After being nominated for outstanding comedy series at this year’s Emmys, Abbott Elementary will have another chance at victory at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards. It’s one of the contenders for the best comedy series award, in addition to scoring five more nods in acting categories thanks to its amazing ensemble cast led by Quinta Brunson.
As for the drama field, Better Call Saul is leading the way with five nominations, including the best drama. It will go head-to-head against Andor, Bad Sisters, The Crown, Euphoria, The Good Flight, House of the Dragon, Severance, and Yellowstone in one of the night’s biggest categories.
The list of major contenders at the upcoming Critics’ Choice TV Awards will also include Starz’s Gaslit, FX’s Reservation Dogs, and Paramount+’s The Good Fight with four nominations each.
The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards will take place on January 15, 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, with Chelsea Handler serving as the host. The list of nominations in the film categories will be announced on December 14.

We still don’t know how their characters will fit into the world of Abbott Elementary, but we’ll learn pretty soon. Summer will be the first to join the series in the upcoming March 13 episode, which will see Janine bring a librarian to Abbott through a new pilot program.
Season 3 has already given us some pretty amazing cameos, starting with The Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, Brandon Graham, and Jason Kelce popping up on screen during the Season 3 premiere. They were followed by Bradley Cooper, who made a surprise appearance as himself in the show’s recent post-Oscars episode.
Josh Segarra, Kimia Behpoornia, and Benjamin Norris also joined Abbott Elementary in recurring roles this season, while Joy Ride’s Sabrina Wu and TikTok sensation Sabrina Brier starred as two of Abbott’s substitute teachers.

]]>Instead of simply releasing a statement announcing the show’s renewal, ABC found a fun way to share the happy news with the fans. William Stanford Davis aka Mr. Johnson tuned in during Disney’s Television Critics Association Press Tour to confirm that Abbott Elementary will be back for Season 4.
He’s expected to return for another year with the rest of the show’s main cast, including Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, and Sheryl Lee Ralph. Season 3 premiere also featured several new supporting players, including Josh Segarra, Benjamin Norris, and Kimia Behpoornia.
Abbott Elementary star and creator Quinta Brunson recently addressed the show’s future in an interview with Business Insider and said that its success is her biggest reward.
“That’s what I would say the dream is when you’re making something. For it to find an audience that’s strong enough for you to keep making more of your show, and they actually want to see it. I’ll never forget how amazing that is for us as a cast and crew and writers,” said Brunson.

]]>Quinta Brunson is back as our favorite happy-go-lucky teacher Janine Teagues, and she’s still trying to get over her crush on Gregory (Tyler James Williams). She’s not the only one who’ll have a lot going on in Season 3—Ava (Janelle James) attended a course at Harvard over the summer, and her attempts to be a good principal are only making things worse for everyone at Abbott.
Lisa Ann Walter, Chris Perfetti, William Stanford Davis, and Sheryl Lee Ralph will also return to their respective roles, and they’ll be joined by several new cast members.
Josh Segarra (The Other Two), Kimia Behpoornia (Hacks), and Benjamin Norris (Never Have I Ever) were announced as the latest additions to the cast earlier this week, and they’ll join the series as three good-natured Philadelphia school district representatives trying to make a difference at Abbott.
Season 3 of Abbott Elementary will feature 14 episodes and it will kick off with a two-episode premiere on February 7.

]]>The Banshees of Inisherin was the night’s most nominated film with eight nods—the most by any film since Cold Mountain in 2004. It managed to walk away with three accolades: best motion picture: comedy or musical, best screenwriter (Martin McDonagh), and best lead actor in a comedy or musical (Colin Farrell).
The Fabelmans came in second with two awards, including best motion picture – drama and best director for Steven Spielberg. Everything Everywhere All at Once picked up two trophies in the acting categories, thanks to its stars Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan.
Abbott Elementary dominated the television field with three wins, including best television series: musical or comedy and acting awards for its stars Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams. The White Lotus was right behind with two awards, including the best limited or anthology series, while House of the Dragon won best drama.
The 80th Golden Globe Awards were held on January 10, with Jerrod Carmichael serving as the host.

]]>After being nominated for outstanding comedy series at this year’s Emmys, Abbott Elementary will have another chance at victory at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards. It’s one of the contenders for the best comedy series award, in addition to scoring five more nods in acting categories thanks to its amazing ensemble cast led by Quinta Brunson.
As for the drama field, Better Call Saul is leading the way with five nominations, including the best drama. It will go head-to-head against Andor, Bad Sisters, The Crown, Euphoria, The Good Flight, House of the Dragon, Severance, and Yellowstone in one of the night’s biggest categories.
The list of major contenders at the upcoming Critics’ Choice TV Awards will also include Starz’s Gaslit, FX’s Reservation Dogs, and Paramount+’s The Good Fight with four nominations each.
The 28th Critics’ Choice Awards will take place on January 15, 2023 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, with Chelsea Handler serving as the host. The list of nominations in the film categories will be announced on December 14.
