The Maroon 5 singer made the announcement yesterday (May 24). He shared a heartfelt Instagram post to share his farewell to the show.

“About 8 years ago, Mark Burnett convinced us to sign up for this show where you sit in a big red chair with your back turned away from the singers on the stage,” he wrote. “First thank you must go to Mark. We had no idea what we were doing or where it was going. It went on to be a life-shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever.

“Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you to every single coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is a shared experience that is singularly ours. We have that for life. Thank you to everyone who supported this long strange and amazing left turn into a place I never thought I’d go.”

Levine and Blake Shelton have appeared on the show since its launch in 2011. Levine has coached three champions and will be gutted to leave.

On the bright side, Gwen Stefani will be filling in for season 17, so at least we have that to look forward to.

Each episode will feature a new artist, and the list includes Blake Shelton, Snoop Dogg, Charlie Puth, Kelly Clarkson, A$AP Ferg, 5th Harmony and Bad Bunny. The artists will surprise fans who have given back to their communities with pop-up appearances and performances, paying it back with music. 

“I’m really excited to show this interesting show/experiment filled with many different experiences and emotions; based on the concept behind our video for Sugar. I’m extremely grateful and equally excited for all who participated on both sides of the camera,” Levine said in a statement.

The series is executive produced by David Dobkin and directed by Alex Van Wagner. Levine will exec produce alongside Dobkin, Jay Renfroe, David Garfinkle, Megan Wolpert Dobkin, Josh Gummersall and Todd Yasui.

Soon enough though they realized that it wasn’t going to be a regular cop pull over as after the LAPD car flashed its lights, it turned out the police officer just wanted to invite the duo to a fun sing along. 

As the sirens went off, Corden panicked, and said, “Oh, that’s the police. Hang on. What do the police want?” He then fumbled to turn the music off and open the passenger window. 

“I’m gonna pull you over so you can sing a song for me,” the sheriff’s deputy called out from the open window of his car.

“You want us to pull over so he can sing a song for you?” Corden responded, laughing in disbelief.

“Yes, because you’re causing a traffic hazard!” the sheriff’s deputy yelled back.

As he pulled over Corden added, “Oh my god. This is a real first,” along with some more nervous laughter.

Levine then pulled out the tried-and-true line most use when apologizing after getting pulled over and said, ”We’re sorry officer, it’ll never happen again.”

Promising to be careful the police officer simply drove off letting Corden and Levine off the hook. 

While Levine stayed cool, Corden was completely panicked.

“I don’t know what quite happened there,” he said turning to Levine asking, “How are you so chill? A Sheriff just pulled us over and you’re completely nonplussed by it. I’m panicked in my absolute core.

The first-time coach came out triumphant beating the reigning champion Blake Shelton, who got six titles under his belt for the last 14 seasons.

Clarkson and Shelton made a side bet earlier this year that if Clarkson wins, the country crooner will have to call her “Queen.”

“Don’t think I’m not waiting,” Clarkson told ET after the finale’s show. “I haven’t checked my phone but I’m a hold him to it.”

Clarkson isn’t holding on that he’ll actually do that. “He ain’t even gonna say it,” she said, laughing. “He ain’t gonna follow through.”

When it got down to Tuesday’s top 2, Cartelli ended up against Britton Buchanan (coached by Alicia Keys), making this the first time in The Voice history that both final contestants had female coaches.

“It was one of those things where we were like, regardless [of what happens],  a female is walking out of here a winner,” Clarkson shared. “It was really Alicia and I’s goal just to beat the cowboys. So, success!”

The 36-year-old pop diva will be defending her crown against Shelton, Adam Levine and returning coach Jennifer Hudson for the next season of The Voice.

“ROUND 2,” the Victoria’s Secret model captioned a photo of herself in a bikini showing off her baby bump. The couple’s first child, daughter Dusty Rose, was born last year in Sept. 2016.

The 28-year-old model opened up to E! News at 2017 Met Gala about motherhood.

“She’s heaven… and she’s sassy!” Prinsloo said, “She says like ‘mama’ [and] ‘dada,’ but I don’t think she knows what it means yet. But there’s a few words.”

Dusty Rose made her public appearance at Levine’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in Feb. 2017. Levine told the audience at the time, “I have a daughter, I have the most beautiful wife in the entire world. I am one of the luckiest people who’s ever lived and it has nothing to do with me. It has to do with the people who love me the most and so, I thank all of those people. I can’t do it individually, but I thank you all.”

A source told ET that the Maroon 5 frontman wants to have a big family. “He and Behati want lots of kids, and they want them close in age,” the source shares. “Adam is over the moon, as is Behati. They are in love with Dusty and can’t wait to make her a big sister.”

“Adam has already been making sure his schedule next year has time to allow for him to take off work and be with the new baby,” the source added.
