Season 2 opened with Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw’s trying to overcome the loss of her beloved husband Mr. Big. Nixon’s Miranda Hobbes is on her journey of self-discovery, while navigating her complex relationship with Che (Sara Ramirez), while Davis’ Charlotte York wants to figure out who she is outside her role as a devoted mother and wife.

Season 2 will end its run on August 24, and the finale will feature a brief cameo from Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in S-x and the City.

And Just Like That… premiered on HBO Max in 2021, and it was granted renewal due to its impressive ratings despite being conceived as a mini-series. Its creator Michael Patrick King said they’re “thrilled to spend more time in the S-x and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters” following the Season 3 renewal.

Speaking out for equality and fighting stigma and prejudice, HRC President, Chad Griffin said, “Cynthia Nixon is a fearless and outspoken advocate for all LGBTQ people. We are proud to recognize her with the HRC Visibility Award at the 2018 HRC Greater New York Gala.”

Taking part in a recent rally, Nixon said, “As LGBT people, we know how important coming out is, but I would argue that our coming out has never been more important than it is right now.”

The 2018 HRC Greater New York Gala will take place Saturday, February 3.

Kim Cattrall has confirmed she will not be involved in a third movie. The actress responded to reports that it was her diva demands that kept the third project from happening.

“To get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘No,’ that I’m demanding or a diva,” she told Piers Morgan in a recent interview.
