The new series, Steve on Watch is heading to the video-on-demand service operated by the social media giant, giving Harvey’s take on everyday life and “issues affecting his audience,” as well as interviews with performers, musicians, viral stars and others, per Variety. 

“Reaching my audience anywhere and everywhere they are has always been the goal. Facebook Watch viewers are the most energetic, engaged community, and so are my amazing fans. Getting all those people to directly engage on a platform like this is the perfect evolution of the show,” said Harvey. 

The move follows NBC’s decision to fill its prime daytime slots with new entry The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Steve on Watch is set to premiere January 6, 2020.

The social giant announced Tuesday that it has given the green light to Human Discoveries and that the new animated comedy will star Anna Kendrick and Zac Efron. Kendrick and Efron join the previously announced Lamorne Morris, Jillian Bell, Paul Scheer and Lisa Kudrow.

According to Variety, the new series follows a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization. They’re the first to discover innovations like fire and the wheel — as well as humanity’s other best and worst innovations, including art, alcohol, fashion, racism… and, confusingly — monogamy. 

Human Discoveries hails from Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee. t’s executive produced by Kirk J. Rudell, Bruno, Lee, Kendrick, Efron, Jason Barrett and Michael Simkin.

Human Discoveries is set to debut later this year on Facebook Watch.

Creators of the original podcast, Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, were in charge of writing the script for this intriguing adaptation. It follows journalist Lia Haddock, who uses her show on American Public Radio to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee.

Limetown isn’t the first Facebook Watch series to attract stellar cast. They recently started streaming critically acclaimed dramedy Sorry For Your Loss, with Elizabeth Olsen in the lead. It will be followed by another dark comedy Queen America, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones.

A premiere date for Limetown is yet to be set and as of now we only know it’s been given a 10-episode order. In addition to playing the lead, Jessica Biel will also serve as executive produces through her Iron Ocean production company.

It’s always the Cristiano Ronaldo show when the soccer superstar takes to the field but now it looks like a Ronaldo show is going to happen on screen as well. 

According to Variety, Facebook is in talks for a new original series — a reality show about Cristiano Ronaldo. The docu-series, if it were to happen, is intended for the social giant’s video platform called Facebook Watch. 

Multiple sources report that Facebook is willing to pay big to land this deal and the soccer player could score a paycheck of around $10 million for the 13-episode show. The show will be made by Religion of Sports, a sports media firm co-founded by Tom Brady, alongside Matador Content and Dirty Robber.

The outlet also reports that the Ronaldo reality show would be patterned on Tom Brady docu-series Tom vs. Time, which follows the 40-year-old quarterback on and off the field in his 18th season in the NFL.

With Ronaldo being the most popular athlete on Facebook (120 million followers on his official page) it looks like the platforms most aggressive bet to date could really pay off.
