]]>Past Lives was one of the front-runners for the best feature trophy, and it managed to live up to the high expectations. It faced tough competition in Passages, Reality, Showing Up, and A Thousand and One but eventually took this award home.
Justine Triet’s Anatomy of a Fall was the only film to walk away with two accolades at this year’s Gotham Awards. It was named the best international feature, in addition to winning the trophy for the best screenplay.
Lily Gladstone (The Unknown Country) and Charles Melton (May December) won big in the acting field and picked up awards for outstanding lead and supporting performance, respectively.
Netflix’s limited series Beef collected two awards in the TV field, including breakthrough series under 40 minutes and outstanding performance in a new series (Ali Wong). It was closely followed by A Small Light, which was named the breakthrough series over 40 minutes.
The 2023 Gotham Awards took place on November 27 at the Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

At the same time, he’s trying to navigate a budding relationship with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal).
All Of Us Strangers will be in the running for the best international feature award, alongside Anatomy of a Fall, Poor Things, The Zone of Interest, and Tótem. It also received nods for best screenplay (Andrew Haigh), outstanding lead performance (Andrew Scott), and outstanding supporting performance (Claire Foy).
Celine Song’s Past Lives is right behind with three nods, including best feature, breakthrough director, and outstanding lead performance (Greta Lee). Netflix’s limited series Beef also scored three nods in the TV field, including breakthrough series – under 40 minutes.
The Gotham Awards are meant to celebrate the best indie movies and TV shows of the year, and they’re scheduled to return on November 27.

]]>Everything Everywhere All at Once defeated the likes of Aftersun, The Cathedral, Dos Estaciones, and Tár to win the ceremony’s top award: best feature. Ke Huy Quan also won the award for outstanding supporting performance, but his co-star Michelle Yeoh ended up losing to Danielle Deadwyler in Till.
This isn’t the first major award that Everything Everywhere All at Once picked up, and it probably won’t be the last. It’s the most nominated movie at the upcoming Independent Spirit Awards with a total of eight nods, including best feature, best director, and several acting awards.
The list of winners at this year’s Gotham Awards also included the best documentary feature All That Breathes and the best international feature Happening. Awards were given to several new TV shows, including Pachinko for a breakthrough long-form series and Mo for breakthrough short-form series. Adam Sandler and Michelle Williams received performer tributes, while the cast of Fire Island was honored with ensemble tribute.

]]>Everything Everywhere All at Once defeated the likes of Aftersun, The Cathedral, Dos Estaciones, and Tár to win the ceremony’s top award: best feature. Ke Huy Quan also won the award for outstanding supporting performance, but his co-star Michelle Yeoh ended up losing to Danielle Deadwyler in Till.
This isn’t the first major award that Everything Everywhere All at Once picked up, and it probably won’t be the last. It’s the most nominated movie at the upcoming Independent Spirit Awards with a total of eight nods, including best feature, best director, and several acting awards.
The list of winners at this year’s Gotham Awards also included the best documentary feature All That Breathes and the best international feature Happening. Awards were given to several new TV shows, including Pachinko for a breakthrough long-form series and Mo for breakthrough short-form series. Adam Sandler and Michelle Williams received performer tributes, while the cast of Fire Island was honored with ensemble tribute.

]]>Ethan Hawke, who is a long shot for an Oscar award for best actor this year, collected the award in that same category for his masterful performance in First Reformed. This critically acclaimed drama also received the award for best screenplay.
Eighth Grade claimed two awards thanks to its breakthrough stars – lead actress Elsie Fisher and director Bo Burnham. Despite their domination at this year’s Gotham Awards, these indie darlings failed to collect the prestigious best feature award. The Rider by Chloé Zhao came out victorious in this category.
