]]>The filmmaker told the outlet at Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party on Saturday night that he’s already developing a sequel centered on Daniel Craig’s Southern detective Benoit Blanc investigating a new case and that he’s all for the pic to premiere, ideally, sometime next year.
“Daniel had so much fun doing it, and he wants to do more,” producer Ram Bergman added.
Knives-Out starred a stellar cast that included Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, and Toni Collette. The $40 million original film has grossed nearly $250 million worldwide.

]]>Multiple outlets report that a new Planet of the Apes movie is in the works, albeit in very early stages of development. The studio has teamed with Maze Runner filmmaker Wes Ball to bring to life another installment Planet of the Apes.
It is unclear whether the film will be a remake of War for the Planet of the Apes, the last film in the most recent trilogy of the successful franchise or will pick up the Matt Reeves-directed feature left off.
According to Variety, the new film in the franchise marks the first major IP from the Fox library that Disney is developing on its own since the Fox-Disney merger.
The original Planet of the Apes film debuted in 1968.

]]>Barinholtz joins the previously announced Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley and Glenn Howerton in the still very under wraps production. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “subversive script that takes its cues from the current political climate in America, elevating the current conflict between right and left wings to a violent level.”
The Hunt was penned by Lost and The Leftovers co-writers Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse. At the helm is Craig Zobel who will also executive produce alongside Cuse. Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will produce, alongside Lindelof via his White Rabbit banner.
Barinholtz is best known for his role on The Mindy Project. He made his directorial debut last year with The Oath, in which he also starred opposite Tiffany Haddish.
The Hunt has been set for an October 18 premiere.
